AERIAL ARTS

Aerial arts have moved from circus stages into mainstream fitness and competitive sport, blending strength, flexibility, and creativity through silks, hoop, and trapeze. With studios and competitions growing nationwide—and social media fueling visibility—the sport is now one of the fastest-rising movement disciplines for youth and adults.

Recognized as both athletic and artistic, aerial arts offer structured training, standardized competitions, and a vibrant professional community.

Soul Cirque brings this world to the screen, giving young aerial performers representation they’ve never had. Like Bring It On and Cheer, but with a fresh twist, the film highlights diversity, discipline, and original music—inviting a new generation to see themselves in a sport that’s bold, empowering, and on the rise.

With 14 teams and over 200 athletes represented in the film, 

we hope to show the full range of aerial arts...the skills,

choreography, art and teamwork.
